A lovely luncheon at the Salt Palace Convention Center has been planned for Monday, September 22 featuring guest speaker Sandra Phillips – Home Specialist, Author and Inventor. Sandra is currently a correspondent and family specialist on KSL Television’s “Studio 5” program in Salt Lake City. Her talk is entitled “Get off the Excess Express!” Our homes should provide refuge from our crazy world instead of making us crazy!
On Tuesday, September 23, a 45-minute walking tour is planned at the Historic Temple Square. The tour will consist of the Tabernacle, home of the world-famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Assembly Hall where free concerts are given most weekends, and the South Visitor Center.
After the tour you will take a leisurely stroll to the Lion House for lunch. The Lion House was constructed in 1855 as a residence for Brigham Young and his family. It is one of Salt Lake City’s most famous and enduring landmarks. A truly elegant mansion which is decorated with countless antique pieces from a bygone era. The guest speaker for this luncheon will discuss how to research your family history utilizing the Family History Library.
Registration for the Spouse Program is $70.00 until August 13 and $85.00 thereafter. The Temple Square Tour, luncheon at the Lion House and Presentation on the Family History Library is $80.00 in addition to the Spouse Program Registration. Register for this event early. It will be a crowd pleaser and will sell out early.
