Design & Construction of Highway/Railway Grade Crossings
This webinar will provide design and construction elements alongside AREMA recommendations to highway designers for projects that have railroad at-grade crossings.

Presenter Biographies
Jennifer Crumbliss is a senior transportation engineer, professional associate with experience in interstate highway, drainage design, permitting, construction staging and traffic control layouts including design of over 290 railroad crossing. Jennifer has over 32 years of experience with 25 years in a lead engineer or project manager role on a variety of project sizes. Working with UP Managers of Industry & Public Projects (MIPPs), she coordinated roadway design approvals with 43 different local municipalities including 10 counties, 8 state DOT districts, 25 cities and the three permitting authorities.
Joseph Schofield has managed several hundred public projects over his eight years in the freight rail business. He holds a Professional Engineering license in the state of Florida, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. His professional responsibilities include review and construction oversight of at grade crossing and highway construction projects throughout the southeast U.S. to protect the interests of his two Class I freight railroad clients. His prior roll was in managing, designing, and obtaining permits for commercial land developers, with some roadway design experience.
