Track Inspection with Machine Vision

This course will introduce participants to machine vision technology and explain key differences between 2D and 3D machine vision systems. It will also explore topics such as how the machine vision systems are deployed in railroad environments, how machine vision is applied to perform track inspection tasks, and provide examples of how machine vision is combined with other technologies for more comprehensive track inspection.

Antonio (Tony) Mauricio - Technical Solutions Specialist, Railmetrics
Antonio Mauricio began his career in the railroad industry in 2006 after earning his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Texas. Throughout his career, Antonio has focused on facilitating a data driven approach to track maintenance by introducing new technologies that enhance traditional inspection practices. He is a co-inventor on two patents for machine vision systems used for track inspection. Antonio currently serves as a Technical Solutions Specialist for Railmetrics and is an active member of AREMA Committees 2 and 30.
